CAST BIOS

Paige Bevando (May) has a lifelong love of performance, intermittently active in the Central Oregon theater scene for over two decades. She has contributed to numerous productions, including Noises Off, Here on the Flight Path, Bye Bye Birdie, La Cage aux Folles, Fruitcakes, and Bugsy Malone Jr., to name a few. Paige is particularly excited to bring this WWII love story to life, as she believes sharing these stories is crucial for understanding the complexities of history and human connection. She hopes the show will shed light on the sacrifices made during this tumultuous time, and the enduring hope that love can provide even in the face of adversity. Paige is immensely grateful to the small but MIGHTY cast and crew, for their dedication to this production. Their passion and hard work have made this experience incredibly rewarding.

Nathan Kristjanson (Raleigh) is incredibly honored and grateful to be a part of ETC's production of Last Train to Nibroc. Nathan (originally from Atlanta, Georgia), first joined the Bend theater community two years ago in Theater in the Park's production of Spamalot where he played as Sir Galahad, the Black Knight, and Prince Herbert. Since then, Nathan has played several starring roles such as Biff Loman in Death of a Salesman, Mark Cohen in Rent and Nick Bottom in Something Rotten. Prior to joining the Bend community, Nathan has had several years of musical experience participating primarily in religious productions such as Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Lamb of God, and Savior of the World. When not on stage, Nathan enjoys working as an Instructional Designer, playing pickleball and Dungeons and Dragons with his friends, and spending time with his Australian Cattle dog.

Jeannie Whittle (Director) Jeannie is excited to help to bring this amazing, funny, sweet story to the stage. Jeannie has spent most of the last few years behind the scenes and on stage as either actor, director, assistant director, stage manager, or lights and sound design with local community theater productions. Jeannie would like to thank her family for their support during all the crazy days and hours of doing theater and hopes you enjoy Last Train to Nibroc and enjoy meeting May and Raleigh as much as she has enjoyed bringing this glimpse of  their lives to you. May the Force be with you all and live long and prosper my friends.

Makenzie Whittle (Photographer) Makenzie is a writer and photographer specializing in performance and travel photography. She’s had the pleasure of working with several productions here in Central Oregon and across the pond while she was earning her Master of Fine Arts (2015) in dramatic writing from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London. She is currently the digital content manager for a local kite and garden decor manufacturer as well as a regular contributor for the Explore section of GO! Magazine/The Bend Bulletin. As a lifelong Oregonian — and one of the rare kids who grew up in Bend — it's amazing to work with a company that aims to bring theater to all of Central Oregon. You can see more of her work on her website, makenziewhittle.com, or on her Instagram @makenzie_whittle.

Eddie Lampe (Lighting Design) has found theater to be very rewarding for him. He had the opportunity to tour Hawaii and Japan as a child with Ah, Wilderness! and All the Way Home. He enjoys living in Central Oregon and is grateful for the opportunities he has had in the local theater community. Recent roles include John in Here on the Flight Path, Henry in Agatha Christie’s Spider’s Web, and Male Ensemble in Craig Fox Had a Wife.

He made his debut as Sound Operator with Ellipse Theatre Community’s production of Silent Sky last fall after a lengthy hiatus while focusing on his studies. He recently returned to the stage in the role of the Rabbi in CTC’s production of Fiddler on the Roof. In his spare time, Warren enjoys comedy, doing improv, cooking and the presence of dogs.

Tracy Miller (Costumer) An active member of the Central Oregon theatre community since 2009. As a costumer (Noises Off, She Loves Me, Radiance, Lost in Yonkers, Young Frankenstein, Sweeney Todd, Wizard of Oz.....);  a set designer (I Remember You) and actor as Gay Wellington in You Can't Take it With You (CTC) and as Jo in Women In Jeopardy (DTC).  She added "director" to her resume with Crimson Eyes (SETC) a powerful one act about homelessness written by English playwright Alan Hall.  This show is for her parents: Elmer "Tuggs" Carl Miller, US Army 3603 Quartermaster Truck Co. European Theater WWII and Dorothy "Dot" Mae Benson Miller, a Rosie the Rivetor WWII Fisherbody Airplane Factory Cleveland, Ohio, eloping before he shipped out to Europe. Fun fact: The 1940's skirt/top worn in Scene1 was my Mom's.  Enjoy the show.  TM/TLOTM
