Layers of War: An Art Exhibition

The exhibition will be displayed in conjunction with the performance of Craig Fox Had a Wife which is being presented by Ellipse Theatre Community (ETC) as part of their 2022 PTSD Awareness Project. This play is an autobiographical script written by local playwright Beverly Allen, whose first husband was killed in action during the Vietnam War. The play recounts the story of how a veteran, a widow and a Vietnamese tour guide found healing decades after the war.

Art Exhibition Mission:

To display the works of artists who have been directly or indirectly affected by war. The theme Layers of War can entail the visible and/or the invisible effects, the physical and/ or the emotional effects stemming from past and/or present wars and conflicts. Can also include how the effects of war are covered or not covered in the media and the many more layers artists may find to express their responses to war or personal experiences of war.
