creating community one stage at a time
Contours: A Personal Geography
The exhibition will be displayed in conjunction with the production of “Fun Home”, a collaboration of Ellipse Theatre Community, Little Town Theatre and Musical Impression Studios. The musical chronicles the author’s coming out/coming-of-age journey. Which includes discovering her family dynamics and the mysteries surrounding her father’s closeted homosexuality.
Additional programming for this event include talk back sessions, panel discussions, artist reception/ talk, a Youth Open Mic and interactive workshops in schools and libraries. Most events will take place at Open Space Event Studios in Bend, OR. More information about these events can be found here.
Art Exhibition Mission
To inspire and display original art from members of our local LGBTQ2IA+ community and encourages historically underrepresented individuals to participate.
When considering the theme Contours: A Personal Geography, think about how your own environment and complex landscape transformed your existence? How do you visualize your own contours? How has your personal geography affected your desire to express yourself through visual art?
